PROFILE OF DISTRICT HISAR (DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE)

 

The Hisar district is a part of the Indo-Gangetic alluvial Plain, covering an area of 6560 square K.M. lies in between 28°59¯ & 29°49¯ latitude and 75°11¯ to 76°18¯ E longitude and is bordered by distt. Fatehabad in the north, Rohtak and Jind districts of Haryana in the east, Bhiwani distt. In the south and Sirsa & Bhadra (Rajasthan) in the west. It consists of four Tehsils namely Hisar, Hansi, Narnaund and Adampur.
