District-HISAR

The Scheme was introduced in District Hisar in 1981-82 as Hisar Project which was later known as Hisar-II. It was started with 130 Anaganwari Centers. Thereafter, 1983 two project started as Adampur & Barwala and whole area of Hisar Distt. was covered under scheme. Hansi-I, Hansi-II & Hisar-I were stated in 1986-87, Narnound Projects 1989 Uklana 1992 & Agroha 1994 respectively. At present Nine Project are functional and 994 Anganwari Centers are functional under this scheme.

The following services are provided under this scheme:-

Supplementary Nutrition Programme: Under this programme, the beneficiaries in the age group of Six Month of Six years, and Pregnant and Lactating mothers are being covered in AWC’s. 300 Calories for children, 500 Calories for mothers, and 10-12 gram protein for children, 20-25 grams proteins for mother are being as supplementary feeding. Against a target of 67592 Children in the age group 6 Months to 6 Years, 65654 Children (97%) have been covered during the year 2004-2005 per month. Against the target of 15904 pregnant and lactating mothers, 15943 mothers (100%) are being covered in the component.

Pre-School Education:- Under this programme, the children in the age group of 3 to 6years are being covered. Against a target of 39760 children, 35726 (90%) children were covered per month during the year 2004-2005.

Immunization:- Immunization services are also being provided by ICDS to the beneficiaries covered by AWCs in the villages with the help of Health Department. This job is performed by AWWs of ICDS with the assistance of ANMs and LHWs of Health Department. Whole population of this area is covered in all types of Immunization Programmes including pregnant mothers and all age group children.

Health Check-up:- Under this programme, health check-up of pregnant and nursing mothers, 6 Months to 6 Years children is being done by Medical Officers, ANMs and LHWs etc with the cooperation lof ICDS staff in AWC’s. Weighing of 6 months to 6 years children is also being done under this programme. Medicines mother to Civil Hospital of PHC etc.

Health & Nutrition Programme:- In this programme, the Women in the age group of 15-45 Years are being covered and provided Health and Nutrition Education by AWWs, Supervisors, CDPOs and PO time to time on different occasion. During the year 2004-2005, 15000 mothers per month were covered under this component.

Personal Hygiene & Sanitation: Under this programme, the children and women covered in ICDS programme are being educated about personal Hygiene & Sanitation of their surroundings.

Addolescent Girls Scheme:- This Scheme will be Hisar Distt. October 2005 in 1^st stage & survey work for girls in progress.

Apni Beti Apna Dhan:- This Scheme started on October 2,1994 by State Govt. The families belonging to Schedule Caste. Backward Class and below Poverty Line are covered in this scheme. A sum of Rs. 500/- is given as cash payment to the mothers of the Girls Child upto three living children 2179 Beneficiaries were covered during the year 2004-2005. This Scheme will be closed by Haryana Govt. Notification No. 2115-SW (3) 2005 date 18-8-2005 & Director, Women & Child Development Deptt. Haryana letter No. 24676-848/CD-6/WCD/05 Dated 30-8-2005 for kind information.

Balika Smridhi Yojna:- Started on August 15,1997, this Scheme covered Below Poverty Line Families by depositing Rs. 500/- in the account of Girl Child. Budget not allotted in 2004-2005 & in 2005-2006 upto 9/2005 of Rs. 188000/- has been deposited among 376 beneficiaries.

National Maternity Benefit Scheme:- Under this Scheme, a cash Payment of Rs 500/- is given to the pregnant mothers of Below Poverty Line families, beneficiaries during the year 2004-2005.
